Esthetic Evolution #6- Twin Springs, ID

Ever wanted to party with a 1000 of your closest friends? Ok ok... maybe not all of them are your best friends, but there's likely only a couple of degrees of separation between them. That's how it works out here in the Northwest and that applies to Seattle, Portland, Boise and beyond. That closeness and cohesive network is one of the reasons our corner of the country has been gaining such a positive reputation for having an incredibly rich and creative music community. The folks at Esthetic Evolution in beautiful Twin Springs, ID have done a wonderful job building up their annual music and arts festival. So much so that they've almost sold ALL 1000 of their available tickets! As of this blog post there are less than 50 tickets available and they're only located at record stores in Boise.

But fret not. Shameless has one ticket available as a giveaway for some lucky reader. SEA Camp 2009 - Twin Springs Idaho

Esthetic Evolution is an annual outdoor music and arts festival put together by some of Boise's best old school promoters. This year, Shameless and friends have teamed up to present SEA Camp (one of four recognized sound camps). From 12pm-8pm this Saturday the 20th, Seattle DJs/Producers that aren't already playing the festival will be throwing some some of their favorite cuts. We'll also be putting together a refuge of sorts for our Seattlite companions. Of course everyone's invited to come camp with us. For Idaho inspiration, we thought it might best to share a classic... lyrics provided so you can sing along! (Yes, we're Shameless)

Esthetic Evolution - Idaho Arts & Music Festival June 20-22nd

We love potatoes. We also love Idaho. This will be out third year attending Esthetic Evolution located in the high desert about an hour outside of Boise. The weekend's underground arts and music festival boosts some of the most 'down to earth' , creative people in the Northwest. Local Seattle promoter Adlib (People of Earth) teams up with his Idaho co promoters to bring two nights of music, two days of music and a whole weekend of splashing in the river with your best friends. Flashbulb will be there along with Naha, Anton Bomb, Recess, Menami and Shameless friends J-Sun, Manos, Kadeejah Streets, Gel Sol, William and the SEA CAMP crew. Be sure to stop by the SEA CAMP tent during the day on Saturday. There are rumors that Gel Sol is putting together a boombox symphony.

The flyer this year looks like a mid 90s massive, but trust us... although the music, art and people are all 2008, the PLUR is 1993.
